About

Nurture PMDD Naturally was founded in mid-2019 on the belief every woman and AFAB person with premenstrual dysphoric disorder deserves a wider choice and quality of treatment, information and support.

Founded by a PMDD warrior, for PMDD warriors, Nurture PMDD Naturally aims to provide the space, community and expertise to help you explore natural and complementary treatment options regardless of the medical path you’ve chosen. It really doesn’t have to be one or the other; with love, care and attention, there are SO MANY things you can do yourself to take more control of this disorder, and it starts with laying solid foundations by learning to take control over your thoughts, behaviours and emotions to give you the strength and confidence to make meaningful, long-lasting and sustainable changes in different areas of your life. The quality of your mindset dictates the quality of your life, no mater what it throws at you.

Hi, I’m Amy Viola

I’m a mindset & emotional health practitioner using clinical hypnotherapy, NLP and other integrative therapeutic, coaching and strategic techniques to help you make meaningful changes in your life to take control of your PMDD symptoms for good.

I am 38 living on the south coast of England in East Sussex with my husband and two cats, Twiggy and Tallulah. I love long walks, cheese, travelling and people watching.

I too have suffered from PMDD for almost 25 years with some symptoms starting as early as puberty, but in 2007 my health took a huge and obvious dive after receiving the contraceptive injection. Believe me when I say I totally understand the hold and affect this debilitating disorder can have. I am unable and unwilling to take medication that could, and, is likely to make my symptoms worse or is simply a matter of trial and error to see what works, and so during my own wellness journey of exploring every nook and cranny of natural ways to help myself, I decided to create Nurture PMDD Naturally to help others on their journey too.

How I can help you

Thoughts

Only you have control of your mind, no one else thinks for you, do they? Strengthen your mind and thought patterns.

Behaviours

Feel like you’re out of control of your words and actions? Get to the bottom of your triggers and replace unwanted behaviours with new ones.

Emotions

Sometimes things can feel so overwhelming, you don’t know how regulate your emotions. It’s time to work with your feelings, not against them.

It takes a village

There is no ‘one size fits all’ treatment when it comes to PMDD, what works for one doesn’t work for the next and more often than not it takes more than one method to manage PMDD. Only by exploring and working our what is best for you will. you find a healthy rhythm of healing and wellness.

We have to work much harder to live a normal life, so start by taking control of your thoughts, behaviours and emotions and see how much easier things become.
